COWAY NEO PLUS CHP-264L – NEW RO WATER PURIFIER CERTIFIED BY NSF
What is an RO water purifier?
RO (Reverse osmosis) water purifier is a water purification device that uses modern RO filtration technology to remove all impurities such as mud, soil, pesticides, and harmful bacteria to the body. Coway Neo Plus CHP-264L water purifier is equipped with Coway RO filter system. Thanks to this innovative system, Neo Plus is capable of filtering contaminants in water from 0.4 nanometers, the size of 1/10,000th of a human hair, while providing an abundant amount of purified water.
NSF – WHO Collaborative Center for Food and Drinking Water Safety
NSF stands for National Sanitation Foundation, which is the cooperation center on food and water safety of the World Health Organization (WHO). This is one of three reputable independent, non-governmental, non-profit inspection organizations (besides WQA – Water Quality Association, UL – Underwriters Laboratories). Operating in 180 countries, NSF facilitates the development of standards, tests and certifies products for the food, water, health sciences and consumer goods industries to minimize adverse impacts to health and environmental protection.
NSF-JWPA P508 Certification
Recently, the Neo Plus CHP-264L water purifier model has received NSF-JWPA P508 certification from NSF. Coway is also the first water purifier manufacturer in Korea to obtain this certification from NSF.
So what does the NSF-JWPA P508 standard mean?
The NSF-JWPA P508 standard, introduced by NSF and the Japan Water Purifier Association (JWPA) in November 2022, provides standards for evaluating the filtration performance of household water purifiers according to the various water supply infrastructures conditions.
To achieve this certification, undergoing rigorous testing for the safety of materials in direct contact with drinking water, their ability to reduce contaminants, and undergoing technical evaluation from the NSF side is required. To ensure the company’s compliance with standards, NSF directly conducts inspections of manufacturing with unscheduled plants. To better understand the NSF standard, refer to the NSF Standard with water quality that meets international standards.
Acquiring this certification, Coway’s Neo Plus CHP-264L RO water purifier proves its ability to purify water to a high standard even in areas with low water flow and pressure. This is the result of Coway’s constant efforts to bring water filtration systems suitable for low water pressure areas such as Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Thanks to its effective filtering ability, Neo Plus CHP-264L is one of the popular RO water purifier models in the Korean and Southeast Asian markets.
Neo Plus also achieved a certification to remove 100 types of harmful substances, environmental hormones and virtual toxins when tested in laboratory conditions announced by the Water Quality Association – WQA in the US.
